Paper People: Lox + Savvy

Lox+Savvy is a brand I have come to greatly admire and while its aesthetic is quite different to my own, I have been so inspired by this growing Australian brand and its creator Lisa Loxley.

There is such fun and a great quirkiness to Lox+Savvy’s card and stationery range which includes creative designs featuring bold patterns, neon colours and also traditional hand-sewn buttons. Each range also features some form of a renewable resource which I love!

Through Lox+Savvy, Lisa has created a range of matching stationery items which include: note cards, greeting cards and envelopes, paper pockets for journals, wrapping paper, bookmarks, gift tags, put-in-the-pocket note cards, Neon 3*fold shaped cards, note*it paper blocks, vintage thread, notebooks, paper chains and handmade vintage button and buckle cards.

With family involved in the printing and paper industry, Lisa says that it was natural for her to step into this kind of business. "When it's in the blood you can't escape it" [from here]. Added to that is Lisa's training as a graphic designer and her obvious passion for paper products. I think it shows in her stationery. The designs are well thought out and the little touches of detail result in a unique product!

Lox+Savvy is made up of limited edition paper goods carefully made in Sydney Australia, using natural materials, paper off-cuts from the printing industry or sourced paper which has some form of renewable resource. This results in each collection, and for that matter, each item telling its own special story.

In an interview with Daily Imprint, Lisa said "Any person driven by a dream, continues to inspire me." It is precisely that which I find inspiring in Lisa. She set out to make her dream a reality - just as I am - and she is achieving it - so maybe I can too!
